Seeking a Maintenance Trainer Assessor to work on Curtis Island. This will be for a contract lasting 6 months starting ASAP.

This role is to provide effective and efficient field training and competency assurance assessing for the Midstream Maintenance Team.Position Specific

  • Maintain role / certificate matrix to clearly articulate competencies required by FLBM, Legislation and other business requirements.
  • Conduct Operational FLBM and Business safety critical task assessments for Midstream maintenance.
  • Liaise and schedule with the Leadership teams to coordinate field training and assessment tasks.
  • Liaise with Training Admin / NIIT regarding storage of training and assessment records to successfully track competency progress.
  • Provide input into the Competency Assurance Management System, which will include the tracking and reporting of all training and assessment activities for Maintenance personnel
  • Prepare, validate and review pre-course /assessment materials as required. i
  • Proactively support pastoral care of employees through the training and assessment process including DAA
  • Deliver on the job and classroom training
  • Provide oversite and support with the Apprentice training program.
  • Support internal and external assessors
  • Participate in audits and auditing assessors.
  • Support Contractor competency requirements, pre and post contract implementations.
  • Ensure safety is your priority for yourself and those you train and asses.
  • Skills Currency – As required under AQTF the person is required to maintain currency of skills.
  • The role will look after all training and competency assessments of the Maintenance team at Midstream including mode one contractors and defining competency criteria’s for mode two and three contractors where the contractor will be held accountable.

  • Knowledge of Industry (preferably LNG) – Operations and Maintenance
  • Certificate IV in Training and assessment or equivalent industry maintenance assessment experience
  • Current Trade Qualification in your discipline area (Preference Mechanical or Electrical / Instrumentation) including high risk work licenses
  • The ability to develop stimulating learning environments by using a variety of styles, techniques and approaches to present subject matter and practical techniques
  • Knowledge of the framework of Acts, Regulations, Codes of Practice, Australian Standards and Licensed Occupations within your discipline
  • Create effective learning and assessment options to meet the varying needs of employees
  • Well-developed written communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to effectively prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • An effective team player with the ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams Work Schedule:
  • This is a full time role and will be required to work Curtis Island Monday to Friday
