A midstream company that owns and operates gathering, compression, dehydration, gas treating facilities is looking for their go to FP&A Manager who would be leading the efforts for them. Solid organization that has strong backing, great leadership, and continual growth. You’ll get to work with some great people across multiple entities and own the FP&A side of the business. Lots of opportunity to grow, work with very established individuals, and get compensated very well. Must have some industry/midstream experience previously.
Summary of Position:
This individual will support the executive team and the Board of Directors. The position provides an opportunity for someone earlier in their profession to join a growth-oriented midstream business as a key member of the finance team at their headquarters in Dallas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for initiating, tracking and advancing key management initiatives, including but not limited to M&A, new capex projects, and internal finance, accounting or data initiatives; may require partnering with the Commercial or Technical teams
- Lead the Weekly and Monthly executive and Board meetings; responsible for setting agendas, preparing reports and running efficient meetings
- Work with executives to build annual budgets and forecasts; evaluate previous budgets and expenditures to develop and implement future budgets; create reports to track performance against budget and budget deviation analysis
- Analyze financial and operational results to better understand company performance
- Inform management on progress and effectiveness of strategic plans and investments
- Conduct variance analysis to demonstrate how the budget and forecast compares against actual performance
- Produce Excel models to evaluate resource allocation decisions
- Analysis of historical financials, variance explanations, updated forecasts, KPI’s
- Utilize BI tools to deliver meaningful insights into business performance
- Communicate results and recommendations to executive team and the Board for improvements that will lead to cost reduction, revenue generation and streamlining operations
- Enable management to better communicate with external stakeholders
Experience / Skills Desired:
- 3 to 6 years’ minimum of relevant work experience in corporate finance, accounting, commercial banking, investment banking or other related functions
- Must have some Midstream experience
- Advanced computer skills, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; position requires a capable financial modeler experienced with financial analysis and preparing management reports
- Proactive approach to problem solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting required AND MBA preferred
- Exposure to energy or infrastructure sectors not necessary but helpful
