Brunel Australasia are currently recruiting for a Electrical Engineer for a Decommissioning project. This is an exciting opportunity to join a global Oil & Gas industry leader, working from their operations in Sale, VIC.

Evaluate and comment on discipline engineering work performed both internally and by Contractors and sub-contractors to ensure that work is being executed in accordance with Company specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. Facilitates effective execution of discipline engineering and design routines that align with the team's goals, objectives, and procedures. Assures accurate and timely communication among the team and other company Functions on discipline engineering activities, progress, and issues. In addition to technical ability, they should demonstrate sound communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Applies mathematical and engineering principles and methods to electrical system designs.Contributes to research efforts to develop a solution or a new product.

This scope assignment fits within the overall Care and Preservation (C&P) team in Australia. The C&P team are part of the larger decommissioning team, responsible for the transition of assets from producing to being a state of decommissioning readiness.
This role specifically is targeted at those with an electrical skill set. The work assignment will be focused on maintenance of platforms what are no longer producing, looking at the power generation needs and planned maintenance activities and identifying cost reduction opportunities.
In addition, there is general engineering technical support required

Requirements

  • 10+ years of closely related professional experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent professional experience
  • Advanced knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
  • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
  • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communication
