Civil Engineering Manager

Position Purpose:

• Managing the complete Civil and structural related construction works from conception to completion during execution;
• To do Detail Study on technical specifications & scope /deliverables, having knowledge of Estimation for determining technical specifications and supporting detailed engineering of the project;

Dimensions

• Construction management mainly in civil & structural works;
• Managing the multiple civil, structural and erection Contractors;
• To collaborate with partners and key stakeholders (communities, governments, vendors, contractors and enterprises);
• Good exposure on construction planning;
• Good exposure on resource estimation etc;
• Managing local procurement;

Principal Accountabilities

Include but not limited to

• Completion of construction projects by preparing engineering design and documents and confirming specifications;
• Designs construction projects by studying project concept, architectural drawings, and models;
• Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs;
• Check all of the Site Execution Work with the help of Drawing;
• Inspection of material as per required at site basis;
• Maintaining the DPR (Daily Progress Report), Weekly & Monthly Field Planning;
• As per required target and make the proper arrangement with the help of Area Supervisors;
• Determines project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs;
• Coordination of jobs with client and contractor/ vendor to ensure execution of work as per desired specifications;
• Monitor & track project plans to ensure desired outcomes;
• Work closely with Project Manager & Logistics/ Planning Engineers for understanding and accomplishing their requirements regarding Data Analysis, and Reporting of the Analysis;
• Preparation and checking of sub-contractor bills;
• Proven capability in facilitating & leading customer & internal meetings;

Nature & Scope

• The candidate should have experience in Civil & Structural engineering for Industrial /Power projects (E.P.C Experience Preferred);
• Hands on experience in analysis and design of Civil foundations, Steel structures for Industrial /Power projects;
• Experience in leading a team of engineers and draught men for preparation of drawings, calculations, review of calculation prepared by junior engineers, review of drawings prepared by draughtsman;
• Experience in leading a team for a complete project for the preparation and submission of design drawings, calculations for a project in which the scope of work for civil and structural is not less than 10,000 Man-hours;
• Clear Understanding of the various stages and process of civil & structural execution work not limiting to engineering but also related to various stages of construction;
• Clear understanding & hands on experience in man-power planning, schedule planning , scope identification, input list preparation for civil and structural;
• Shall have excellent project management skills coordinating between various disciplines , construction site, vendors, engineering partners for controlling the scope, schedule and cost of civil & structural engineering works.
